The BAND Center provides a full range of evaluation services for children, adolescents and adults. Testing can address questions related to any number of issues including:
- Emotional and behavioral functioning
- Cognitive ability
- Academic performance and learning disabilities
- Attentional and executive functioning skills
- Memory functioning
- Vocational and transitional planning
- Developmental delay
- Social awareness and interpersonal functioning
- Adaptive behavior skills
Assessments are tailored to respond to the precise referral questions and our staff strive to provide focused but comprehensive evaluations that incorporate information from as many applicable sources as possible. In addition to outlining the most pertinent treatment decisions for the client and his or her family, recommendations are specifically designed to inform associated service providers and to coordinate interventions between home, school and the community.
Testing includes administration, materials, written report, and feedback session. A complete neuropsychological assessment is usually conducted over three to four days depending on the child’s pace and age. Testing for accommodations (SAT, for example) usually takes two days (2-4 hours per day). All other individualized testing is charged based on an hourly fee.
